The world faces a major problem, water scarcity.   The process of desertification has turned China into 25% desert.  China is now expected to lose over 1,200 square miles of arable land to desertification every year.   Massive aquifers are slowly drained over time as we direct the flow towards increased urbanization and required by steady growth in worldwide food demand.  Pollution takes it's toll on much of lies above, pure water is undoubtedly precious.
